Sorry but you shouldn’t be asking this question on here. You need to go to your bank and get free advice or speak to a Financial Consultant. They have to study and pass exams in order to practice and will be able to give you the best advice,

thanks, it's just a simple swap of a couple of funds though.

Just wondered what everyone else is doing

I've thought about it, but been advised to hang in there for now. No idea if that is right or not!

Thanks @greyinganddecaying I was so close to clicking to swap, but the charges to swap prob not worth it and I think I'll do the same as you and sit on it for now

I've been wondering exactly the same thing. I'm with Scottish Widows and it is dropping daily. I also read that you should just hang on in there but it is very worrying.

I've just checked and it's dropped another 100 today, that's 400 in total since the weekend.

I've worked in pensions for 20 years, and all I would say is that no-one could possibly tell you anything sensible based on the information you've given or probably could give in a quick MN post. Making the right decision requires a lot of information and thought.

I've sold the fund that was performing badly and spread the whole pension pot over a higher number of diverse funds (including US, Europe and UK, with varying levels of risk) - I can always swap it about with my stakeholder and there's no charge for swapping them out which is good. I'll just keep an eye on it. It's basically gambling with your pension pot, no one can guarantee what the best thing to do is.

I track my pension funds monthly. I had an old one which had been passed around many different providers and i assumed would be the worst performing and I would move it. It's not it's the best! I few sure that now I have a hood view of what eaxh of my 3 pensions is doing on on term performance. They all seem to go up and down pretty much at the same time.
