I've been sent appt for this afternoon covid booster. I've had three pfizers in past and know the centre I'm booked at does both but unsure how tgey sort this out... Stock or set days. I really don't want another Pfizer... I've had three and also had covid in June this year... Can I request a modena? Any advice? Anyone work in vaccines? I don't see the point of another Pfizer when the moderna is tweaked to protect against omicron.

Thanks for all the useful messages and experiences.. Just to update. . I was only offered a moderna spikex at my appt this afternoon and was pleased to have it and not another pfizer... All fine 4 hours post vax.. 🤞... They are doing all spikex at this centre and it was appts only.. No drop ins... They said due to limited stocks.

I've had 3 Pfizer. Fine after the first 2 but had awful vertigo after the third (maybe just a coincidence). I had the Moderna vaccine yesterday and have felt very hot, shivery and tired today.

Hope it settles before my flu jab next week.

I had my booster last week in work. Was told it was Pfizer as it's best against Omicron variant. Don't know if that's correct or not but there was no choice. Sore arm for a day or two but no side effects.

I've had, I think, two AZ, two Pfizer, one Moderna, and got a Moderna bivalent booster on Tuesday (have had more than usual number of jabs due to cancer treatment). Had no side effects from first five apart from a sore arm, but yesterday I felt extremely unwell. I''m not complaining, but it was a shock!

I’m in two minds about having a booster. I’m CV shielded for 2 years then got Covid in March. It was much milder than I was expecting.

I’ve had 3 Pfizer vaccines and after each one had different side effects(shingles, heart palpitations and horrific vertigo)

Not sure I want another vaccine but will be having the flu jab
