Which is the best tube station to park at to travel into Harley Street

I'm having a small op and can't travel home by public transport

So the plan is to drive to London park at a station, get the tube in to Harley Street and then get a taxi out

Ideally North or East of London as we are coming from Suffolk

Thanks

So you'll be coming in on the M11 right? Or the A1? And are you wanting to drive right to the edge of the congestion charge zone so as to have as short a taxi ride as possible without paying the congestion charge, or are you OK with parking in zone 4 or 5 where parking will be cheaper/less traffic and having more of a 45-50 min taxi ride back out?

If you are coming in off the A12 which is just slightly further on than the end of the M11 there are lots of central line stops nearby, so Woodford, Leystonstone, Stratford would all be options. Central line direct to Oxford Circus then about a 10 minute walk to Harley Street from there. Or if you wanted to get a bit further in then maybe go as far as Bethnal Green which should be right on the edge of the C-charge zone.

Or more from the North/A1 direction then Cockfosters/Arnos Grove/Oakwood on the piccadilly line would also be fine (change at Finsbury Park for the Victoria to Oxford Circus), or High Barnet/Totteridge/Woodside Park on the Northern (go to Goodge Street and walk from there)... or again keep going and stop at Camden or Highbury and Islington for either the Northern or Victoria lines?

Or, if you don't mind paying congestion charge, it is very possible to park for not absolutely squillions in Central London using the JustPark app, depending which day of the week it is there are options within walking distance of Harley Street for about £20 a day, between that and the tube and taxi fares it might be not much more to drive the whole way in and then be able to get straight back into your own car rather than worrying about a taxi? Either way I'd really recommend JustPark as it often has secure parking options for much cheaper than the public car parks or station ones!

Probably a12 I think; thanks for your suggestions. We looked at Stratford and Woodside park but both are fairly far out for a taxi back

And currently it looks like DH & I will get the train and DD will drive to Finsbury Park, mainly because she knows the way there (as she has been before) and meet us afterwards; that way she can arrive much closer to the time I'm finished

Neither DH nor DD really want to drive in Central London

I'd just rather not go
