I made this for the first time the other week. Sounds so gross but literally cost 75p!
Microwave packet of savory rice, garlic peri peri sauce and salad cream. It's got a real kick to it and is really filling.

Tinned mackerel on toast, poached eggs on toast, tomato abd cheese omelette

Kitchen sink frittata is another good way to use up leftover potatoes, small amounts of veg (cooked leftovers or uncooked bits and bobs that need using up), odd bacon rashers, ham, small bits of cheese etc. Just eggs and whatever leftovers and things that need using up there is, some fresh herbs from the garden, everything and anything except the kitchen sink...

I often freeze small amounts of excess fresh veg, cheese or bacon (chopped/grated), the end bit of the packet, to use up in ramen or frittata.

@Therealjudgejudy & @VinoDino

I get them in Tesco, they’re usually near to the gravy granules. They’re also great for thickening up sauces if needed.

Definitely one of my budget cupboard staples.

Microwave rice, a tin of tuna and frozen peas

Cheap filled pasta. Chuck it in boiled water and 3 mins later it just needs black pepper.

Always have big bags of pasta and jars of pesto and tinned tomatoes in, bulked out using up 'fridge scraps'- the last bits of veg, last slice of ham or bacon in the pack etc.
Toast with tinned hoops, beans topped with cheese always a winner.
Sometimes just toast or cereal.

Cook some spaghetti/whatever pasta you have. Gently fry an onion with some garlic and some chilli flakes, then break up a can of sardines in oil and warm through. Stir in the pasta, add basil/parsley or a squeeze of lemon if you have it.

Two eggs on a piece of toast, seasoned with garlic and Aleppo pepper. Sometimes fried, sometimes poached.
