How many is too many?

I'm sorting my knicker drawer. Sunday Funday... 🙄

Anyway, I have counted 57 pairs of knickers. FIFTY SEVEN!

That's not including any at OH's house, or any currently in the laundry.

I know it's a ridiculous amount (I've thrown 5, but 52 is still 7.5 weeks of undercrackers) but how utterly ridiculous is it?

How many do you have? I'd recommend counting because prior to today I'd have guesstimated 25 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣.

I'm the opposite-probably about 15 pairs of pants but 3 maybe 4 bras all of which need replacing Grin

I used an expiring voucher to buy 14 knickers (still never worn) then inherited ~ 15 from DD so probably about 50 in my stockpikle, too.
Think bra count is down to 5 max, though.

I have about 15 pairs of pants. I know because I just had to admit to myself that I have gained so much weight that my pants were really uncomfortable so I went and bought three packs of old lady knickers from m and s to wear while I attempt to lose weight. The pants that were too small were worn out anyway so I got rid of them.

Laughed when I read this, as I did exactly the same yesterday. I threw out a significant number of old pairs and still have 48 left, as well as 15 bras. I've now rearranged my storage so that it's all pants in one (fairly small) drawer and bras in the other so I can see how many are there. (Used to be dark stuff in one and white in the other).

Whilst I was at it I also discarded about 12 pairs of tights .... I cannot recall the last time I wore any at all as rarely wear skirts/dresses these days. Keep up the good work OP ... I'm starting on the drawer where my swim wear lives next, and then moving on to my T shirt collection ..... very therapeutic Grin

Currently have too many bras, but they all seem to turn stabby at the same time!
Most tips have a fabric recycling bin so old clean knickers can go in there. Oh and Bravissimo take old bras in any condition!

My phone is Android and the app is called your closet. You upload pics of your clothes and can categories and note in a calendar what you have worn.

I used to have loads. I went through a phase of buying loads. Now I have about 40 I reckon. Which is still too many. Pjs I'm probably in the 80's 🙈🙈

I’m far worse! I have about 10 pairs of pants that go with the posh bra sets that you buy ( all different colours for different reasons) and then I forgot I bought 6 packs of 5 everyday knickers as I was mid move and renovation and couldn’t find them when I was changing underwear so bought another 6 packs of 5 so I have 70 pairs of posh/everyday knickers!

and 14 pairs of modibodis ( I’m always on for 7 days and you wear 2 pairs a day)

And that’s not including knicker rage where I’ve been to various shops to buy new knickers that are uncomfortable and shit quality ( yes M&S and next I’m looking at you)…. which will get donated once I have worn one pair as you can’t get them refunded so have about 20 paid that are uncomfortable that will get sent to charity rag donations if they will accept them

I know I'm a weirdo😂. I've stored them in boxes in my wardrobe. I mean that's including shorts, long sleeve, short sleeve, trousers, cropped etc. but yes it's bloody crazy and I know it is. I'm guessing at that. It might be less tbh

Later this week I'm going to count my knickers and update, for a guess about 35.
I do however only own 6 bras. Each and every one is beyond its final death. But currently to go bra shopping is beyond me. I have the money, I do not have the will. And ordering online and returning (if possible) is such a hassle. But trying on instore can also be a hassle.
I categorically do not own any pyjamas. I have one nightshirt that is only ever worn when I'm ill.

All my many socks match, if I come across a lone one missing its mate, it gets 3 weeks to turn up then lobbed.

As an aside I own three Christmas t shirts and rotate them. No one has cottoned on yet. No one remembers what I wore last year so one green one red and one white tshirt but it looks like I buy new every year. And as they are only worn for one day a year they hardly get worn out.

When I moved out of my parents house aged 18 , I was putting away my knickers in my new chest of drawers and found a pair aged 9-11 😆

Mmm I have bamboo bed pants. So comfy.
Daytime wear is different. Always a matching set. Can’t do non- matching. 6 bras and 18 pairs of knickers.
It may seem organised, but the rest of me is v chaotic, however 🤪
