Top of mole fell off

I've had a mole on my breast for years and a few days ago when I was drying myself after a shower the top of it just came off. It wasn't cracked or crusty. Or scabby. It was like a disc of brown mole skin fell off neatly.
Should I automatically see the gp?
Or does this sound in the realms of normal?

I don't understand what you mean?

If you are worried about a mole, get it looked at by a dermatologist.

The same happened to me during lockdown, a gp looked at it via video call but felt no other action needed. As I've had no other symptoms I've not revisited but keep a close eye on it and will kick up a stink in the future if I need to, in order for it to be biopsied.

I'd get it checked but try not to worry.

I know I should and I will do.

I'm so sorry @Rollerbird. My toddler got hold of my phone, somehow managed to click on your thread and post a comment. I have asked for it to be removed.

I hope you are ok!

Could it be a seborrhic keratosis (apologies for spelling)? They often grow in the breast are, look ‘pasted on’ and fall off in the manner you describe.

Rollerbird · 25/09/2022 21:54

That looks likely @Wouldloveanother
Im thinking it's probably seborrhoeic keratosis! 😁

That's exactly what seborrhic keratoses do.

rosael56 · 25/09/2022 22:16

I've had this happen! It grew back. Was told it was a seborrheic keratosis, and nothing to worry about! If it grows back and looks really odd then I'd see a GP maybe.
