Zero notice from my own teenager. 13 year old friend and I need to get something in the morning.
Shes not into make up or anything like that. I’d prefer something I could get from a supermarket because I need to go to one anyway.
DD says she doesn’t know what she likes. I don’t really just want to get her a voucher.

At this short notice virtually Impossible, you’ve no idea at all of hobbies? Vouchers then what else could you do.?

MeridasMum · 23/09/2022 20:42

It depends what supermarket

Our local Morrisons would offer not much more than a box of chocolates and a lightbulb. Asda, a bit further out, stocks cute t-shirts, accessories, mugs and little ornaments, toiletries, etc so lots to choose from

LaTangerina · 23/09/2022 20:44

Bath gift set, voucher for primark or something if your supermarket sells those vouchers?

Graceandfavours · 23/09/2022 20:51

I’d get some sweets and chocolates and put some money in a card.
Maybe stationery if there is nice stuff at the supermarket?
otherwise I can’t think of much my 13 year old would want from an average supermarket (apart from make up)

JubileeTrifle · 23/09/2022 20:56

I can go to a big Asda. What a pain this is.

Take your DD to the supermarket, and get her to choose!

Carrieonmywaywardsun · 23/09/2022 21:05

Asda- nice mug, naice hot chocolate, artificial little plant? Asda have some good homeware bits in atm.

Duchessofmuchness · 23/09/2022 21:07

A gift voucher and a big bag of sharing sweets. In a nice bag

All poss from Asda

KylieCharlene · 23/09/2022 21:07

I'd get a box of chocolates - Lily O'Briens or Monty Bojangles look a good gift and don't look too boring or 'old' for a teen.
I'd also check out the body spray/perfume section and failing that put a tenner in a card alongside the aforementioned chocolates.

Graceandfavours · 23/09/2022 21:10

Ooh a little plant could be a good shout if there are some in cute pots.
I’d still combine with chocolate though

dancemom · 23/09/2022 21:16

Stationary! You can put notebooks, files, gel pens and all sorts to put together

Take your DD to the supermarket, and get her to choose!

I’m going to go at 8am. It’s really worth the grief getting her up.

Fairy lights, cosy blanket, scented candle, bath/shower stuff, chocolates..

user1471533733 · 24/09/2022 00:40

For a teenager I'd go with a costa/starbucks gift card and maybe one of those little individual cupcakes in a little box.

primeoflife · 24/09/2022 06:14

Mine all give (and get) £10 in a card and a bag of sweets!

JubileeTrifle · 24/09/2022 14:51

I got some sweets and a squishmallow and some toiletries. Asda was rubbish though…
