Accuracy of bbt charts

Posting for traffic as my threads disappear unanswered on the ttc boards

I came off the mini pill recently and had my first period. I track my temperatures as were planning to ttc and its shown a rise. I charted my temperatures which show I’m 4dpo.

I’m now worrying it’s not accurate as I put a thick duvet on my bed the day my temp spiked. It’s gradually going up but I’ve got some cold symptoms so assuming that’s why if I’m catching a cold.

is there still a chance my charting is accurate or should I ignore it this month? Having ewcm and cramps which made me think I’m ovulating but worrying my temps are from being warmer at night and possible cold. I have pcos so rarely ovulate and worried it’ll be a long journey, so would appreciate stories and reassurance. Thanks

My experience with BBT charts is they're pretty accurate but you can't be sure and won't really believe it until your period starts or you get a positive test. Like the chart for when I conceived DD. It was telling me I'd ovulated on day 9 but I didn't believe it as I'd had a night of drinking and a couple of lie ins that I thought must be responsible for the temperature rise. Nope. Ovulated on day 9.

Thank you, it’s all very confusing! I just hope I did ovulate and it wasn’t influenced by room temperature/a cold. I had cold like symptoms with my dd very early on so I don’t want to overthink it but I’m hoping it’s a sign
