I have never knowingly used that word (despite studying the overall subject but too long ago). I knew the concept and described it to DH who suggested a word that might be that thing.
Turns out it is a word and was the right one.

101 guesses, 24.75% accuracy. That was only done with a LOT of googling, I knew I was never going to find it any other way.
