So... you ask someone if they are up for doing something next weekend (a specific plan on specific day) they read and don't respond .

It's now been a few days. What is your time limit before you organise something else instead of hanging on waiting?

obviously this is 'prime' weekend spot and I don't want to be sat twiddling my thumbs because they never get back but also don't want to organise something else then they pop up and respond yes.... awkward.

p.s. Friend by the way!

Just send a quick follow up message to say something like 'Hey, just wanted to know your thoughts on the plans for 'insert activity'. Just planning rest of weekend out and wondered if you fancied it,.no worries if not'

Means they know you've noticed but they can back out no pressure.

48 hours - but I would text and say, can see you're busy this weekend, but hope we can do something another time. Then leave it to them.

They probably don’t want to go but are being avoidant. Go ahead and make other plans after two or three days (depending on how close to the day you are).

I hate following up- makes me feel like I am chasing . I'm not bothered either way but the hanging on irritates me - just say yes or no HaHa!!!!
