Monkeys Or Tanks?

I'm off to Dorset. They have 2 big attractions. There's Tank World right next to the Monkey Museum. Which one should I go to? Tanks are cool but I've been there twice. Monkeys are nice but I'm not sure they're tank-nice, but as I've not been to the Monkey Museum I'm not sure.

Tank World has excellent Dorset Apple Cake.

Which one?

The playground at Monkey World is immense!

I'm a 48 year old man. There would be tutting and/or stern glances if I played on it.

Sad Rescue Ape Museum is sounding less appealing. Tanks are edging it.

I thought you meant tanks as in fish tanks Grin

Now I know you mean armoured tanks... Monkeys all the way

2 fish in a tank. One says to the other "how do you drive this thing?"

Not sure what the reply was. Presumably that would have been the punchline.

I would choose monkey world but I am not you. you want tanks so go tanks.

Costacoffeeisbetterthansex · 21/09/2022 01:50

Tanks over monkeys any day.

Monkey World!!!

The primates are not sad at all, many of them of been rescued from sad situations however they live as best a life as they possibly can now. The enclosures are far bigger and better than what you find in a normal 'zoo'. The thought and care that goes into enriching these animals is top notch - they all have names and are very much considered as individuals by the care staff.

The keeper talks are really informative. And if you get there for park opening you'll hear one of the best noises in the whole world - gibbons singing! The couples do this to cement their bond as it's just beautiful!

You'll also be supporting the awesome work monkey world do abroad such as in Vietnam with their semi-wild park and release work.

Monkey world - hands down!
Yes I've been to the tank museum too, it was okay can't say I'm bothered about going back.

The tank museum is fab!

Depends on the weather. Monkeys stay indoors when it's cold and wet. Tanks are visible in all weathers.

There are also more tanks than monkeys, I reckon therefore value for monkey money, cost per artefact...?

You've covered cake, but how do the gift shops compare?

Finally, you can clamber in and over the tanks. Not so much the monkey enclosures.

Jeez. No actual information? I still think you are wrong, but somewhere in this I'm thinking Monkey World wouldn't work, as there are no bridges. Not sure about the bridges in the tank place, but Google may help there.

Mysterian · 21/09/2022 18:51

It'll be Tank World for me on Friday. Tomorrow I'm going for a cheesy Weymouth beach front wander, and maybe a nearby cove. Friday might be wet and I like my apes dry. To the point of crispy.
If I remember correctly there are some elevated walkways in Tank World, including a steep one over a T34, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

If you are going to Weymouth then Nothe Forte is worth a visit

mycatisawesome · 21/09/2022 19:07

Or further on at Portland is a really interesting little D Day museum

Mysterian · 23/09/2022 12:17

Can't find any monkeys. Looks like they lock them into these mobile cage things.

Not that one though, it's for racing dogs.
