Sweaty sleepers - what helps?

I'm menopausal and DH seems to be having sympathy sweats. His side of the bed looks like the Turin shroud. I can't keep washing pillow cases every day.

We currently have:
Mostly cotton fabrics,
feather pillows with polyester quilted cover.
Wool duvet - I guess we could go lighter on that but the house is generally chilly.

What's worked for you? Honestly, I'm so fed up I could be talked into anything by a salesman or fancy marketing, so what actually worked.

Turin shroud GrinGrinGrin. Glad I'm not alone. We don't have any synthetic material either so I am watching this thread with keen interest. Esp as we come into winter and I'm FREEZING. He's literally going to be branded on the mattress which I'm keen to avoid.

A 1-tog quilt! easy to put a blanket over (or over a half) or take off if needed in the middle of the night.

A Dyson fan and a cotton duvet, has cotton filling too about 3 tog. Also HRT patches a total life saver. Has you DH always been like this ? If this is something new that he is experiencing night sweats he should get it checked by a doctor as it can sometimes be a sign of underlying illness

I'm on HRT gel, if there wasn't a shortage I'd be accidentally wiping it on DH if it cured his nightly drenching.

Pillows - there's a whole heap of cooling gel promises, any success?

My dh has night sweats most nights, (he has a brain tumour). If he gets a cold or any other virus/illness then the whole bed is drenched. I have a mattress protector, but it has even soaked through that. We have cotton bedclothes, our duvet is a down one, I’ve just had to have it dry cleaned again!
I have no advice sorry!

@MissyB1. I'm sorry about your DH, and I'm sad for the extra stress the side effects must bring to your lives. A whole load of washing on top of disturbed sleep and the constant under current of worry, not the best times. My heart goes out to you.

It feels like I have read the internet on this and it's worth noting that some of the more medical sites flag up you should see a doctor if you've suddenly moved into the night sweat world because it can be a symptom of a quite serious problem.

I hope you've got multiple spares @MissyB1 to relieve the pressure.

Anyone got any recommendations for where to buy, good quality, frequent wash, probably natural fibre bedding?
