Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in peace. The washer's on it's second load, I've tidied round a bit & been out with the first load and the recycling. I'm going to get some chicken and tomato sauce out to defrost for tea in a minute.

I'm not sure what we're doing today yet - dd2 did want to go to town to the Asian supermarket for some of their snacks, & I want some spices, but she said she didn't know as I tucked her up so I'll see when she gets up.

If not, I'll start painting squares on the babygro I've acquired to turn a stuffed elephant into Elmer - I forgot to raid the art cupboard & bring home felt for his ears though 🙄

We bought some dark chocolate at Asda last night to try making hot chocolate bombs & a sugar mouse mould last week so we'll probably have a go at those over the weekend.

The aforementioned chicken will be cooked in the tomato sauce, with some vegetables & pasta on the side for tea 😋 I'll probably have a glass of wine or two while cooking & with mine.

I am currently doing nothing. DS went to uni last week so life is still a bit odd round here.

I have to do a bit of shopping though and then I will be walking the cat when I get back.

Dd came down with covid yesterday. Dh has just taken himself back to bed as he thinks he has it too. Dd2 is still asleep.
Just sat here drinking coffee as I feel slightly ill. A quiet weekend I'm guessing.

Dh made me breakfast in bed. Which was a lovely treat. DD1 doing homework, DD2 designing her winter wardrobe. Going to do the washing, take the dogs out for a walk in the sunshine. I have balloons and a cake to pick up later.
Sitting in the garden and reading enjoy late summer warmth. Roses are flowering again and it feels like summer still. I suspect briefly.

Nothing . I wa s planning on not leaving the house until tuesday morning when I'm back at work but I've just seen James martin cooking massaman so might go to the shops later for lemon grass so I can marinate the chicken Monday ready to cook Tuesday
Apart from going out for lemon grass I will do nothing , not even getting dressed. I will lounge in my nightie until Monday evening 🤷‍♀️👍

Everyone is up earlier than usual for the weekend.

Going to a charity shop to drop stuff off.

Then take DC to park.

Then head for a tea in a cafe if have time.

DP staying in to do DIY. Teen helping. (Well...)

Trying to be busy, anticipating everything being closed for the next 2 days!

I had a nice long lie in while DH got up and started doing stuff around the house.

I'm waiting for a delivery today so it's just a mix of chilling with some reading or TV and a little bit of housework today since I can't go out, which is fine by me as it's not a very nice day here.

Just had bacon sarnies in bed with ds2 watching last night's Masterchef. Had plans of doing stuff (gardening, going out for a walk) but having had a change to my HRT medication this week and my covid booster yesterday I feel ropey af so will probably lay about reading the paper and watching naff films on the telly.

I’ve had a very lazy day so far, lie in, brunch at home and been watching TV. This afternoon, doing some cleaning and then will cook dinner and chill out with DH in front of the TV and watch a film.
