We had a loft conversion done last year. Part of this involved moving the bathroom from the downstairs to the upstairs. Building regs (Scotland) have funny rules about bathrooms and accessibility, so I thought we might have issues getting it approved, but it went through fine - we got planning permission & building regs & warrant. We haven’t yet had it all signed off from building control yet because they’re impossible to get hold of!
anyway, a neighbour is trying to do a similar thing and they’ve been bounced back from planning over the bathroom issue. They’ve asked to use our plans as precedence in appealing the ruling. I know that everything has gone through fine, but I am nervous about them pointing it out explicitly (I know our plans are publicly available, but they are drawing attention to the issue). Is there any way that this can cause us problems? Because we haven’t yet been signed off by building control? Even though all plans & permissions went through?
