Have you ever felt judged by teachers/staff on pick up drop off at school?

Just wanting to know other peoples experiences of drop off/pick up time at school. Sometimes if we're running a bit late but arrive a couple of minutes before doors shut, the head or one of senior staff seem to make a beeline for us before we go in. Probably being paranoid but last week a senior member of staff made a beeline and said hello to my daughter then just stared at me unsmiling. Felt like I was being assessed! Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I can't say I've noticed

Our procedure is 8.45 gates open, 8.55 teachers open classroom doors. I think late 9am... but they have no idea if you arrive at 8.45 or 8.55!

As for judging... the only time I felt judged was Leavers assembly as I got the "sympathetic" noises about attending alone. Its 2022... (and I'm not even a single parent... just one with a husband who travels for work, and wouldn't have been able to take the time off even if he had been local!)

If the teachers want the children by a certain time then tell the parents the absolute latest they can drop their dc

Don't tell the parents 8:50 if you want them there by 8:45, it makes zero sense!

It might not be to do with the time I get there at all. I wondered is it because I haven't put my make up on or not straightened my hair. Although a professional household we are definitely at the lower economic spectrum in comparison to the most wealthy parents. Maybe it is coming from my own insecurities and maybe I am the judgemental one.

Thanks for your example it reflects that 'hang on a minute are you judging me moment'
