Point horror for a 10 year old?

Hi all

Just after opinions- my DD is 10 and likes 'scary' things. She has read numerous goosebumps books, watched creeped out etc. She is a reluctant reader and will only read if really engaged. I am wondering if she could read the point horror books, I read them all but was probably more like 12 at the time. Do you think they are too scary for a 10 year old? I'm in two minds about it!

Thanks for reading

I think I started about 11 years old. Could you have a look at some of the less scary one's and read first? Has she read Harry Potter? I think that is pretty scary at points so she might be fine if she was ok with that.

I was reading point horror at 9-10 years old but I had always read way above my peers. I would suggest letting them try them during the day time/early morning so if it is a bit too scary there is plenty of time to clear the mind and fill it with other stuff before bed 😂

I read Point Horror when I was about 11. As NotGoodEnoughSally says some are more scary than others. If you have Amazon Primes you can download some of them on the Kindle app. Might be worth taking a look at some of them before

I'd have said she's the ideal age. I absolutely loved Robert Swindells' Room 13 at that age too.
