Experiences of Legoland in November (even better if with a 5 year old!) please!

DS turns 5 at the beginning of November. We've been looking at doing a party for him and his class, but costs are looking between £200-300 which we can't afford right now. He's a huge Ninjago/Lego fan and enjoys the more gentle theme park rides (not roller-coasters currently). So instead of a party we could do a day trip to Legoland in November for £130 for all of us (DS, me, DH and his 1.5 year old sister). Lego is everything to him at the moment so part of me thinks he'd love it, the only two niggles stopping me from booking are:

  1. How many rides can he realistically go on? (He's literally just under 1.1m so couldn't go on any rides with that restriction)

  2. Is the park a bit quieter in late October /November? I know they have Halloween and firework events but I've heard horror stories from friends who went this summer with young kids and spent 90 odd minutes queuing per ride so only went on 3 or 4 in total. We recently went to Paulton's Park and found the queues really short and manageable so don't want to head off for a day of waiting outside in the cold for a 2 minute ride 😅

Any experiences of November visiting experiences or going with young kids appreciated! Thank you x

I haven’t been in many years but Legoland usually closes after October half term/first few days of November - I would check that, OP. And the reopens for the Christmas event.

We went with our 4YO end of October last year. It was as busy as the other time we went, which was June HT. She was 1m at the time but not 110 and could do almost everything actually. From memory the only no-gos were I think- the big driving school (small one was fine), something riding adventure and the Viking river one. The queues were huge except for the tiny rides, we bought reserve and ride passes and were glad of it. The cheapest ones are £15pp and presumably you’d only need 2 as 1 adult would stay with baby, and they’re actually really decent because whilst they don’t shorten the wait time, you don’t have to physically stand in the queue so can use the time to do the big playgrounds, watch the shows, go on the small rides, have snack breaks etc.

We often take groups to the last weekend of the season which is usually Remembrance Sunday. It is usually cold so not much of a queue for the rapids/log flume/waterslide.
The splash pads have been switched off every time (thank goodness!!)
Queues biggest for whatever is new, and the indoor bits.

The queue lines are often cold and wet!

They are only open at weekends (and not every weekend) and most shows are 1 a day at most.

2-4-1 vouchers should work though.

At 1.1m he should be able to do every ride except Mia's Riding Adventure

Definitely open for some as they're doing Halloween and November firework events but thank you for the heads up. 😊

Annoyingly NHS discount and 2-4-1s aren't valid during their event window, I checked 🤦🏻‍♀️

Seems like the queues may still be quite bad... Will have a think!

Ah I had a look at the calendar and see Halloween is on a Monday. Fireworks days can be busy, as pass holders will come down for it, but if local half term is the previous week it should be fine during school hours. But yes, cold and wet!

If you do go, pop to guest services and they will give you a birthday badge and put DS’s name on the board Smile

(I may or may not have my very own legoland birthday badge - my birthday is also beginning of November, when I lived locally we had a annual pass and I went by myself Grin)

If NHS, check out if they are running any blue light weekends around then - they often do just after the fireworks events. Much quieter and easier to get on rides, though think they don't open till later than normal.
First time I went on an inset day - got on 6 or 7 rides and spent most of the day queueing. Been twice on blue light weekends and got on lots more, including sometime being able to go straight back on. The new ride still had a queue of over an hour but that was the exception.

Thanks, will do. I couldn't see any when looking earlier but will double check x
