Anyone else had a shouty day/evening?

Feeling horrendous and guilty now DC are going to sleep.

Spent the day in a horrific mood, snappy, raising my voice at everything the kids do.
Clashed with DP because I've just been in such a foul mood.
Feel like I've just had some sort of internal bitchy rage inside me.

Feel like a horrible, unfun mum who is just stressy and shouty and the guilt is taking over.

Anyone else out there feeling the same on this Sunday evening?

Oh for God’s sake, @Babdoc. Fancy some people having difficult days with their kids that didn’t involve the Queen!

You seem disproportionately irritable, Rain. Are you all right?
I simply found that my village was united yesterday in quiet reflective grief - I am sure the villagers have had other days that were “shouty”, but for once, all that was put aside.
That in no way invalidates your, and others’, opposite experience.

I wish my kids had been subdued @Babdoc!

I've been feeling like this a lot lately, over the past month or so. I put it down to a few things

• School holidays, my first working & looking after DC. Exhausting & felt guilty the whole time
• Seeing DH take up lots of new activities that cost money & allow him to be away from the house, while I can't do any - because he has taken all the money & time for his hobbies. Feel jealous because I am feeling like Point 1 above 😏
• DC2 with SEN starting senior school & I'm not sure if it's going to work
• No money left as we spent liberally in the school holidays
• House is a mess as I haven't had any time to do anything over the last 7 weeks
• 13-year old DS1 is very stroppy & often rude, equally can be lovely.

DH thinks that all the above is not enough to make me a bit snappy so I must either be menopausal (possible, I'm 44) or depressed. Either way, every time he sees me all he can talk about is how I need to see somebody & do something about it. Which just makes me feel worse 😥
