Do people think south London (Tooting) will be a nightmare this weekend?

Hello just wondering if any Londoners or knowledgeable people can help...

I'm meant to be moving my son into his halls of residence this weekend. We are travelling from quite far North and I'm not very familiar with London. Do people think all of greater London and the motorways are going to be snarled up with traffic? I'm planning to leave Friday around 12, hopefully arriving by 6pm and then leave Sunday mid morning.

I'm dreading it. I could probably delay it by a week but he would miss some Freshers stuff, plus it's like £200 a week so I want him to get his money's worth!!

Please someone tell me Tooting is far away enough to be relatively unaffected!
?!?!

Yes, it's quiet. Tooting proper has a busy vibe most of the time but Furzedown very quiet.

I was at Furzedown Halls. Lovely place 😊and quite quiet. I hope he has a great time.
