Can diabetics (or a person with diabetes) have a luxury pedicure?

Want to buy it as a birthday gift.

Could be worth checking with the place providing the pedi if diabetes is a contraindication.

My son would be wary of cuticle cutting etc incase tools aren't cleaned properly.

It may well depend on the salon, and the experience of the person giving the treatment. Some of the 'filing' (probably not the right word) would need to be adapted for diabetics. They may not be comfortable (or possibly even insured) to do it.

Also depends on the diabetic and the state of their feet.

Why don't you go for a nice manicure (and maybe a file and polish on toes, which should be fine - it's the other stuff that's more questionable).

If one can be provided by a quified podiatrist; then yes. I wouldn't let anyone without the appropriate quifications touch a diabetics foot.

Does the person you are thinking of have a regular podiatrist? If so, could you pregaps contact them/look them up and see if they offer anything similar to what your after?
