Are heated blankets safe for children?

Had a quick look and it says you're not supposed to sleep with them on?
10 year old and teens. Not sure I would trust them to turn them off and I can't see them being organised enough to switch them on for a few hours before sleep.

Plug them into timers connected to an app on your phone so you can control them? (Not the DC obviously!)

I'd go for the long hot water bottles in the beds half hour before bedtime, and a normal extra blanket on top, rather than risk it.

I'm getting my daughter one. She's almost 11.

Modern ones tend to have a low setting suitable for all night. Have a good shop around.

I had one from age 12, back in the 90s. I'm still here, but I used to override the timer to stay toasty though Blush.

Some teens would be more responsible I'm sure, but almost certainly not my own which is why I have held off for our DC! (11&13)

They're not responsible at all 🙄

I'll have a look round.
