Another Ninja air fryer question

checkedcloth · 04/09/2022 13:31

Thanks to all the helpful threads on here I am close to getting a Ninja dual air fryer.

I see there is a 7.6L version and also a 9L version.

we are a family of 4 (a teen and soon to be teen). Prime reason for purchasing is the lower energy use, along with the convenience especially for winter food for a busy household.

does anyone have any experience of the larger one?

thanks

Yes we have the large one. Family of 4 with 2 teen dd. It does take up quite a large space on worktop but love being able to cook whole chicken in a drawer. No experience of smaller one so unable to compare large one to it

Munchyseeds2 · 04/09/2022 21:03

We have a small one but then there is only 2 of us here now
If I was buying for a family I would get the largest possible
Love mine

I have large one - 2adults and 1 dc. Definitely recommend it. Easily do a roast chicken in one drawer and all the veg in the other.

We’ve not used our oven since we got it apart from for pizza.

We have the large one - four adults here. Today, I cooked halloumi burgers and needed all the space to cook the halloumi and then the burgers. Same with potatoes - need all that space.

Thanks so much all.
larger one it is.

is the cost of buying the large one less than the energy costs incurred by using an electric oven? I’d have to buy largest one for 5 adults in my family and I’m trying to work out if the outlay will be worth it.

@Mydoghealsmyheart you'll need to do the calculations base on your oven etc.

I'm just waiting for the 7.6l one to arrive (2 adult household).

Oven cooking for me works out about 44p per hour under the new price cap so for a full roast dinner I'll still use the oven, but to cook a joint of meat alongside non roasted veg, I'll use this.

I'm looking to replace an elderly air fryer and an equally ancient and decrepit slow cooker so for me I'm gaining space back and expanding how I can cook - I'm especially looking forward to the pressure cooker option.

....has anyone found a large one though. They seem to be out of stock everywhere!

GetOffTheRoof · 04/09/2022 23:33

Yes, on Lakeland. £5.60 cashback via Quidco as well.

I'm looking for a smaller one and can't find them in stock anywhere!

They're not available there either...

Ignore me, I'm confusing Instant Pot and Ninja....
