No spare wheel - help!

All the breakdown quotes I get online - in the details sections - claim punctures not covered. You have to have a spare wheel, repair kit and locking nuts. I only have the latter.
What do you all do? Which breakdown cover do you have?
If I have roadside plus, can they not drive me to a quickfit or does having no spare invalidate the whole policy?

Thanks in advance x Flowers

I had a large screw in one of my tyres and called my breakdown cover to help. It was the RAC, the patrolman filled the hole with some sort of glue and then pumped the tyre back up. He then followed me about 5 miles home to my nearest tyre place in case it went again. I always assumed tyres were covered, it’s my main reason for breakdown cover as a puncture can happen at any time. I have no spare in my car either.

Thanks. I thought punctures covered too, but this caveat keeps coming up in all the small print. Anyone else?

You need a spare tyre OR the tyre repair equipment supplied by the manufacturer. Most newer cars without spare wheels come with either a space saver tyre, a can of sealant or have run-flat tyres.

I'm very surprised.
I recently lost two tyres in the same incident, I had no spare but that wouldn't have mattered since there were two punctures.
AA man put his ' universal fit' spares on, followed me to my chosen tyre place and waited to collect his tyres. All within 40 mins. (And a £200 bill for me. ☹️)

I bought a spacesaver spare wheel and cradle from eBay for my Fiesta, I'm have Ford breakdown cover free with my service. I also have a repair kit and Holts Tyreweld.

We have that spray but the instruction are rubbish so don't know how to actually use it.
We use dial a tyre!

I bought car second hand. It is 9 years old. I will have to look up Kia tyre repair equipment then. Has anyone here used Dynamo Breakdown for cover?
In the past, have used AA, RAC and Green Flag but am looking for savings where I can atm.

I think a lot of people just put a couple of cans of tyreweld in the boot would that count

Every Kia I've looked at has a full size spare wheel in the boot. It was one of their selling points.

Including a Kia picanto?

Nah, we had to get the dealership to swap a proper spare wheel in to both Cee'ds that we have bought. Most on the forecourt didn't have.

They were happy to make the swap though. It seemed very few people actually wanted one 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have a Kia about same age. It has a smaller space saver spare tyre in the boot under the boot floor panel.

But a quick look online suggests that the pics to didn't come with a spare wheel. It appears a kit may be able to be ordered (not sure if this is still available) but there are issues with the wheel not fitting under the boot floor panel (bizarrely!!) and this having to be raised albeit it appears various fixes are possible for this.

Take a look at this:
