Hi folks, I'm about to start a new venture if any kind mumnsetters with a better imagination than me can think of a name! It's mostly ear microsuction (I promise I'll get some good pictures for the sporners 😬)

So far I have:
Ear Purity
Ear Clear
Cleear (see what i did there!)
Happy Ears

Any ideas welcome as I'm not convinced about any of them.

Ta in advance

Am liking 'Suck it and hear'.

But agree with the PPs who think it should, regrettably, be a plainer name. Use a pun as a website tagline.

Cafog · 31/08/2022 18:20

These are great some are funny!! But @Horological your advice is spot on. However I'm very rural and will also he offering a domiciliary service to a some of the local villages so don't want to rule those out either 🤔

My sister suggested cl:ear which I like, but may be awkward to advise on spelling, especially if I'm speaking to someone with a hearing impairment.

Thanks for all these!

Suck ‘n Go

Yeah

NO🤮

I like 'ear 'ear but I suspect it'll cause you a lot of problems with emails/signage/when answering the phone etc,(same with Cleesar)

I think Ear Clear is pretty good, I need mine doing and I'd have called Ear Clear.

You Suck
Sucking Hell

Ear today, Gone tomorrow

In this climate????

big fat no. You need a name you can trust.

(I know you didn't mean it like that, but it's what springs to mind)

NooNakedJacuzziness · 31/08/2022 18:27

I Can Hear Clearly Now the Pain has Gone

cherrypiepie · 31/08/2022 18:28

If you are rural just change it to a regional name like "Yorkshire dales hearing clinic"

Cafog · 31/08/2022 18:30

@YourLipsMyLipsApocalypse I like it!

Hear Clear

PuppyMonkey · 31/08/2022 18:38

All Ears.

PuppyMonkey · 31/08/2022 18:39

You could even answer your phone: "I'm All Ears." Grin

Tollystar · 31/08/2022 18:43

All Ears

This is genius, and to address the concerns about Google SEO, you could easily include your area name, e.g. "All Ears Ribble Valley".

shazzybazzy34 · 31/08/2022 18:49

I LOVE All Ears!

noclothesinbed · 31/08/2022 18:54

Hear clear

YesitsBess · 31/08/2022 18:56

PuppyMonkey · 31/08/2022 18:38

All Ears.

Winner!

OperaStation · 31/08/2022 19:00

Your company name has very little to do with search results BTW. Whether or not you appear when someone searches for you is about associate links, paid ads etc etc. You need some good digital marketing advice (either pay an expert or go in a course).

All Ears.

👏 A great name.

I was going to suggest Lugs Unplugged, but I don’t think it has quite the right vibe!

ApolloandDaphne · 31/08/2022 19:11

I think Hear Here is better.

Hawkins001 · 31/08/2022 19:11

Apolitical ears

Ha ha that's cool too!

You need to think about not only if people will be able to google you, but also if it's easy to spell if you read it out to people on the phone. Imagine phoning your suppliers and saying "Hi, it's Anna from [name of company]" - it needs to be something that the person on the other end will be able to spell easily, otherwise you'll constantly be spelling it three times before people get it, and that could get annoying.

Creativesolutions · 31/08/2022 22:20

I love these fun ideas. Maybe you can incorporate some in your tagline.

Ear Microsuction (I had to google this. I had no idea what it was. If you had said ear wax removal then I would have understood completely. I only googled it because I have a hearing loss.

Use plain English and get straight to the point, especially if you offer a clinical service. Don’t expect people to google ear microsuction. If I had I seen your business as an advert, I would be less likely to look it up because I’m busy and I can’t be bothered to educate myself right now. If your ad mentionend ‘ear wax removal’, well my interest picks up and I think to myself, do I need this service and is it something I should remember for future refrence?

Think about what people will be typing into google. You can always use the correct term on your website. To start you just need to get people through the door. For clinical services people are going to google their town and then ear wax removal. It’s boring, but it does what it says on the tin.

Are you likely to offer other services down the line that may not be associated with ears? If so, don’t limit your business by using ‘Ears’ in the name.

Don’t call yourself ‘hearing clinic’ – You’ll get a lot of enquiries from deaf people looking for the hearing clinic at your local hospital.

Please let us know what you end up going with. Good luck!
