Just wondering if anyone could tell me about any experiences with this. Why someone might be using it, instead of prescription medication. Any side effects? Long term issues.

I looked because I had a headache and thought it might be ibuprofen. It was on the side of the kitchen sink

You shouldn’t have been picking up her things and going through them. Would you have picked up a letter and read it?

I didn't pick anything up 😂.

Please stop attention seeking.

If I was going to seek attention, I’d be more likely to post a thread like this Hmm

Medication and things relating to health are private matters. It was inappropriate of you to look at her medication, and having done so, would be inappropriate of you to immerse yourself into the rights and wrongs of it in some way, which I presume is what you’re implying you’re going to do.

Quite right. I always wear a blindfold in friends houses in case I inadvertently see something private

I'm not going to reply to you again because you are derailing a thread I'd started asking for advice. You have stated incorrect facts in all of your posts, including this post and haven't provided anything useful at all.

Thanks to those posters who have offered advice, experience and information.

Come off it, she didn’t inadvertently see it, she picked it up to see if it was ibuprofen. But anyway, I’d be interested to see what people think the OP should do?

Dustyblue · 04/09/2022 07:07

Any helpful advice or experience yourself, Needmilk?

Otherwise please stop poking the OP.

My father lives in a country where it is prescribed. He takes it 3 times a day for severe anxiety. He is like a zombie on it Sad

I'm sorry to hear that. Even at a small dose, 3 x day is a lot. Is he seeing many doctors? Other health issues?

Unfortunately for my SIL, she managed to find doctors who would keep prescribing it, well beyond any therapeutic benefit, despite its restricted status. It's not the norm at all, but it happens.

I'll start doing the same 😂

I once saw a big vibrator in a friend's house. That was quickly hidden too. I wasn't concerned about that though, I just thought good on her 😁.

I was at a friend's house the other day and made myself tea and toast while she was in the shower. She should have called the police!

LittleFluffyCloudz · 04/09/2022 13:57

Thanks Dusty 😁

I don't think there is anything I can do other than be there for her and be an attentive friend. I'm worried because she attempted suicide a few years ago. It seems that she isn't getting the help she needs from the NHS if she's buying Xanax online.
