Help after car accident!

So I was in a pretty horrific road traffic accident at the beginning of August where I was hit by an uninsured driver while stationary. He was doing 65mph. Anyway this week coming will be my fourth week signed off sick from work. So far I feel like it has been endless days of calls to insurance, lawyers, salvagers, organising a new car, appointments at the hospital, picking up prescriptions, emails etc the list seems endless.

I have been speaking with a councillor through my work, just talking through how the accident has left me feeling mentally etc. I have found these sessions very helpful and have came away with some practical resources to help. During my last session the councillor suggested that as things are starting to come together I should use this week as a self care week where I focus on me. I plan to return to work the following week so this will be my only opportunity to relax.

My ds is 11 and gets himself to and from school and I have an empty house till 3pm so just looking for some ideas of what I can do to relax. I've planned a pamper day I've got face masks and Epsom salts for the bath then a nice body butter. I've booked a massage. I planned to go for a walk at a local nature reserve.

Any other ideas would be appreciated!

Meet a friend for lunch, or coffee ?

One of the nicest days out I have done in recent years was going to a Nature Centre near here - it is not quite a zoo (no big cats or elephants or giraffes) but is much bigger / more diverse than a farm. Anyway, it's the sort of place everyone takes their dc, but we went adults only, and it was just SUCH a nice, relaxing, and enjoyable day out. Is there somethings like that you could visit ?

Or what about being "a tourist in your home town / City" ? - spend a day wandering around your nearest City as if you were visiting it as a tourist ?

Or, what about a trip to the seaside ? I love the beach and the sound of the sea. Do something a bit 'silly' like playing crazy golf or going on a fairground carousel ?
