Christmas Bedding

Does anyone else have a small double bed and able to give some suggestions on where I could source some Christmas bedding in small double
size. Didn’t realise it would be so awkward to get this size of bedding. Thanks!!

Just put double size on it, what size do you put on it now? DS has a small double, it’s 4ft rather than the standard 4 ft 6 and double is fine once you tuck the sheet under the mattress.
I do think bedding that’s only produced to be in use a couple of weeks of the year is terrible for the environment though.

Agree with @WTHamIreading , just buy double, it's fine

As above, just get a double duvet and covers.

DS has got a small double. It never occurred to me to buy a small double quilt, I just got a double.

Not much help for you though Wink

DS had a small double at University, and we did buy small double fitted sheets from John Lewis, but he had a double duvet. Never bought Christmas bedding , but would imagine you would really struggle to find any in small double size.

I didn't even realise Christmas bedding was a thing.

It's a bit early but every single year on MN there is a bunfight thread about Christmas bedding and what the point of it is. Grin

Looks like a double duvet is the way forward!! Thanks for the helpful replies

If its for a small child single duvets work as well (my DDs prefer singles as there is less bedding to become tangled in and its less heavy)

(Our Christmas bedding has been used for 9 years for the whole of December.)

Please could @MNHQ move Christmas threads into the Christmas topic at this time of year? Maybe even up until 1st November?

Just get double. My Dm always had a double duvet on a small double bed. There’s not much difference and in fact a bit more overhang is better. We have a super king duvet on a bed that’s between king and super-king - it’s fine.

Not really, it'll get used year after year after year for a few weeks each year , then if donated it'll get used year after year, then be passed on again or given to an animal rescue/vets where the animals aren't too fussy on the pictures.

A double will be fine.

I always put a size bigger on my beds though, to get that hospitality full look. (Used to work in managing hotels)

So my double has a king size duvet and cover on.

Singles get a double duvet and set.

Means you can have that draping full look on the beds.
