SHEIN Autumn/Winter Wardrobe

Trying to get prepared for autumn/winter!

What are everyone’s favourite autumn/winter finds from SHEIN?

For context I’m a petite size 6.

Thanks 😊

If the clothes are such good quality why can't you wear your autumn/winter wardrobe from last year?

Because I didn’t buy a lot as I only started using it towards the end of winter.

OP I've got some lovely knitwear jumpers from there, I was really surprised, went into it a bit dubious, but they're washing really well, genuinely couldn't pick them out from my Fat Face jumpers in terms of quality (sorry that's as high end as I have to compare to, appreciate that might not be much of a bar 😂) yet they cost half the price, no reason to think they won't last years.

@Sapphiresanddiamonds

Shein clothes are fine op... ignore the snobby attitudes!

The amount of postage and vans running here there and everywhere involved with one top off Vinted is just as bad!

Ducking hell Shein are not 'fine'.

It's the worst kind of fucking up the planet. All returns go straight to landfill. Your clothes are made by slaves. Women and children being raped to make your 'winter pieces'.

Tell me how that doesn't bother you?

Confused I was responding to the poster who was saying that Vinted was the same as Shein because they are all posted and delivered in vans. The environmental cost of fast fashion is huge, maybe the odd piece lasts, buying second hand is in no way comparable.

I don't need any clothes at the moment, but if I did I'd give them a try. I love their shoe storage, housey stuff, and backpacks though. Fab.

ohnoohnoo · 06/11/2022 10:58

I've just put in a big order of autumn/winter clothes from there! Can't wait for them to arrive now. I love the stuff from there and it's affordable!

YellowTreeHouse · 06/11/2022 11:39

@ping78 Thanks!

@greenhousegal Yes they have excellent accessories too

@ohnoohnoo Enjoy your haul!

There's a programme on TV this week about "secretive" Chinese company Shein. Odds are there'll be slave labour and worker exploitation stories.

WeeblesWibbleWobble · 06/11/2022 12:48

Ive had shein stuff that's lasted better than M&S and Next.
Go for it op.
I go fast fashion as i inevitability get bleach or something and ruin it. Or one of the Dc stains it. So for £14 or so a jumper im not fussed

Ive had some bits that come up are quite thin but i like that as hate bulky clothes and prob only wear a coat 10 days a year.

Yes. There have been multiple exposés on their environmental practises, their appalling treatment of workers and false statements on working conditions. There's have been many credible investigations into Shein, not one of them reassuring to consumers.

You could get a couple of decent jumpers, second-hand, for that price.

Better for the environment and bank balance.
