How about Coal Drops Yard? You can spend hours in the Samsung Concept Store without spending anything, there's the barge of books and normally a market and some entertainment.

Hire Boris bikes and cycle along the embankment

Boat hire in Little Venice

Watch buskers and an ice cream in Covent Garden

visit refurbed Lego shop and see Big Ben and build a mini figure each then have lunch in China Town

Go to the V&A then paddle in the courtyard fountain and people watch

King's Place is a short walk away. Riding the escalator is fun and there are bug squashy leather cushions you can loll about on.

Hiya! Greenwich is good. Meridian line plus a ticket for the observatory. You get to lie back in comfy seats and see stars and planets on the ceiling!

paddington walk by the canals with option to go on boats.

trips on Thames clipper. Can use your Oyster card.

Emirates cable cars from O2 to Isle of dogs. Again can use Oyster card

Borough Market for lunch.

Southbank for free street entertainment

Camden Market.

i hope this helps a little x

Oh, they are clickable- yay!

donkeydonk · 25/08/2022 06:44

Not sure if you can still do it but climbing monument was cheap and cheerful once upon a time. And nice views for teenage selfies

Phineyj · 25/08/2022 07:44

There used to be crazy golf in the basement of Camden Market (useful to know if it pours with rain like today)

sanityisamyth · 25/08/2022 07:58

HMS Belfast was really good if they like history.

MamaSharkington · 25/08/2022 08:00

Harry Potter Walking tour

Mine really enjoyed Tower Bridge recently. Didn't seem as expensive as some other exhibitions. They also enjoyed the cable car although it's a bit out of the way and only takes about 5 minutes. The free museum at Greenwich was good, we spent ages in there. The observatory was good but expensive. There's a good playpark along at the end of Greenwich Park depending on the ages of your kids? There are toilets and it's just a quick walk to a coffee shop. (These are important for me when choosing a playpark)

NeedToKnow101 · 25/08/2022 08:06

Free psychedelic crazy golf at Canary Wharf? canarywharf.com

Notting Hill Carnival this Sunday?

Broadway Market and walk along canal to Islington or Kings Cross

Snowiscold · 25/08/2022 08:08

Boat down Thames to Greenwich - the normal Uber boat, not a tourist boat.

Boopear · 25/08/2022 08:19

If you have them, you can also use tesco clubcard points for the boat trip. Much recommended btw.. We know london really well but the boat up to Greenwich was great fun and we learned a lot!

confusedofengland · 25/08/2022 08:20

You could have a look at Kids' Week tickets & see if you can get any theatre bargains? We just paid £50 ish for 6 seats for Horrible Histories at the Garrick theatre.

LadyWithLapdog · 25/08/2022 08:24

Tate Modern is always excellent

sm40 · 25/08/2022 08:25

Look on today tix for theatre tickets. Sign up to their rush alerts. Tickets go on sale for that day at £25 at 10am. Need to be quick but usually very good tickets!

JustDanceAddict · 25/08/2022 09:11
