I have seen new rules where you have to prove you have xx amount of euros per person per day to now get into Spain. I haven’t travelled abroad for about 20 years so just wondered if anyone could clarify the rules for me? Is it 90 euros per person per day and does this include children aswell? I have also seen £900 minimum, does this superseded the 90 euros? Does everyone get checked?

I live in france and the situation is the same.Technically you need to prove you have a certain amount of money when you enter and yes it is since Brexit.

If you read the Government website, then technically most countries require you have to have various evidences - just as we do for people coming here. Being out of the EU just means that we are now part of the club who needs to show such proof if border officials demand it. It's not just Brits - it's anyone from a non EU or Schengen country.

Technically in France, you may need to show accommodation proof etc.

However, I wouldn't worry about it if you are a 'typical' tourist. French border control just looked at our passports .However, if you seem that you have vague plans, then expect a more thorough chat. Just like they do at UK border control and other border controls over the country.
