We've done:
A day at the beach
Cinema
Local attractions
Outdoor theatre
Local farm
Local ice cream parlour & maize maze
Local community events
Play dates with friends at the park
The Frome Independent
Walk in a country park
Swimming
A few home days
Bit of baking etc

Over the next week we're going to a local beauty spot; probably another beach day, a fossil hunt on Jurassic coast, a couple more attractions & my DDs birthday party.
Oh & their out-of-school activities (swimming, gymnastics & archery) have continued throughout.

2 weeks abroad
5 days in Cornwall at the beach with a cousin for DD to play with
DD now staying for a week with Aunty / Grandma while we work. ( same cousin) - lots of pets to play with
Trip for much requested ear piercing
Play date with a friend and trip to outdoor pool
Daytrip to adventure playground and picnic with a friend
Small boring trips to town enlivened with ice cream or bubble tea
Couple of lazy days watching films / TV.
I’ve got 3/4 days next week which might include a NT property and trip to cinema or pool.

Not much. I feel quite low about it tbh.

Could not go abroad for various reasons.
-mini golf
-amusement arcade (I resent spending the money on that shit)
-cinema
-lunch out most days- picnic or whatever
-day trip to an EH site (dragged kicking and screaming)
-day in London for lunch and school shoe shopping
-we had family stay for 4 days and did some stuff with them
-local farm park

  • butlins
  • museum
  • soft play
  • woodland walk
  • visiting family
  • local parks
  • dinosaur exhibit
  • street bbq
  • paddling pool in the garden

It doesn't feel like it's gone quick but equally haven't been bored that much. 4 year old and 2 year old children.

Camped in Norfolk.
Farm parks.
Football/drama holiday clubs.
More camping next week.
Shopping.

Met up with friends for picnics.
Hoping to go to the zoo before we go back to school.

PolkaDotMankini · 24/08/2022 14:29

Sports camp for a couple of days
Family holiday for 2 weeks
Saw an outdoor play
DS went to Haven with a friend for a week
Playing with friends at either house
Swimming
Trampoline park
Visited family overnight
DD's at PGL this week
Cinema (the new Thor film is as weird as)

They're supposed to be spending time with their dad over the bank holiday. We'll see if that actually happens. After that, it's getting into back to school mode.

Longdistance · 24/08/2022 14:40

Dd2 started off on a Girl guide camp for a week.
dd1 was home with us and we did Hampton Court Palace and the theatre and meal out in London.
We then went to Norfolk for 3 weeks. We’re back home as dd2 is having a few days induction at her new school. We’re heading back to Norfolk on Bank holiday Monday and will stay until the Saturday. We go to the beach, paddle board on the Broads, we’ve been out crabbing, picnics, walks, zoo, shopping for clothes, met with friends, festival.

BettyOBarley · 24/08/2022 14:51

Few different parks and local country park, picnics, baking, visited friends and grandparents a few times, various soft plays and adventure playgrounds, ice cream parlour, cinema.
Both kids had a free bike riding lesson.
Went on a caravan holiday for a week.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

Managed to do a lot of cheap/free/discounted stuff so I feel like we've had great summer but not broke the bank.

I love an all inclusive with little ones, went with a 3 year old and 1 year old, no cooking, cleaning or washing up for 2 weeks! We loved it. Also love disneyland, it completely wears them out and it's magical when they are little

HappyMeal564 · 30/12/2022 15:22

Sorry, massive misread, thought it was recommended holidays with little ones! Brain fog!
