What's your first pick of sweets especially if travelling?

I love a haribo but already got some in.

You can't beat boiled sweets in a tin.
Or pineapple chunks, chocolate limes , if it's cool when you are travelling sour skittles and white choc buttons ( about 75/25 mix )

Pure nosyness can you tell us why you are traveling where you are going ?

Travelling sweets for us are Sainsburys Wine Gums (so much better than Bassetts), Mentos & Mintoes.

My go-to sweets at home are currently Skittles or Twin Snakes by Haribo.

FartNRoses · 23/08/2022 17:36

Liquorice Allsorts! They’re like a drug for me but I can understand if I’m in the minority…

yonce · 23/08/2022 18:17

In a car - suckable sweets, so Cola cubes, wethers, blackcurrant and liquorice!

At work / home - starbursts, skittles, drumsticks squashies, haribo, allsorts

IKnowAPlace · 23/08/2022 18:17

Aldi sour jelly beans

SwedishEdith · 23/08/2022 18:19

Blackcurrant and licorice or a really good quality chocolate lime.

Also find those bags of Opal Fruit/Fruitella type fruit flavoured sweets you buy on holiday absolutely addictive.

Anything fizzy or sour are my favourite, so sour patch and fizzy haribo would be my choice.

House of Candy Gummy Mix from Heron Foods is my current go-to

£1 for a big bag of wonky sweets. Lush.

Notateacheranymore · 23/08/2022 19:58

Neither are particularly good for travelling but if I’m feeling nostalgic for my mum, (RIP 24y this Sunday), then it has to be Chewing Nuts - the little balls of chewy caramel covered in chocolate. So many people have never heard of them!! OR Cherry Lips, which I also loved as a kid. But in either case, I can snaffle through a bag in no time.

For the car, I love chocolate Limes or Eclairs, Sweet Peanuts, Fox’s Mints or Fruits, Fruit Salads, Black Jacks but I can only keep a boiled sweet for so long (sometimes seconds) and then I have to crunch. Drives DH crazy. He likes Aniseed balls!!

sorrysaythatagain · 23/08/2022 20:04

Candy Kittens sour watermelon or Very Cherry. I cannot get enough!
