What do you think the government will do about the energy cost, if anything?

Tax cuts? More cash handouts? Windfall tax on energy companies? Force the energy companies to lower the prices? Or nothing at all?

I'm really unsure myself at the moment. I swing from thinking surely they will do something, to thinking they really don't give a fuck and people will be left to suffer.

Id love to know what people think not only Tory MPs earn but also Tory supporters.
My in laws are wealthy! I'm sure they could cope wirh the increases but as people who are incredibly stingy, don't put heating on for guest's etc they will not like this one bit! And they're the middle to rich Tory.

No one wants this and who is going to sort it out? Was it the right time to get rid of Boris?
As Martin Lewis said they need to come back now and do something..
We hear that ministers are meeting energy chiefs but nothing is happening.
What they have offered is a drop in the ocean.
It's absolutely mad.

Everything will come to a stand still.
No money spent anywhere else at all?
It's going to be 100 times worse than COVID.

They'll have to do something. I think they'll end up subsidising private households and business, and not doing anything to address the structural issues.

Did you know they are giving us £400 off our bills in £66 monthly payments to energy providers?

Yes, that will hardly make a dent when the price rises in October let alone in January.
