Day out in Oxford with 13 year old DS

Planning a trip to Oxford this week. We'll travel by train and have most of the day there.
What should we do? DS is easy going but I want to have a plan.
We've been before but not for a few years. Searching old threads, it seems we need to have ice cream at the covered market. Definitely up for that!
What college should we visit and anything else you would definitely do? Not the Ashmolean as he was there with school not that long ago.
Thanks.

Definitely the Pitt Rivers/Natural History museum.
History of Science Museum. DS liked them both around that age.

The Science Museum and Pitt Rivers museum?

In terms of college, DC recommend New College as the Quads were in Harry Potter or Exeter on Turl Street as the grounds have a good view of the Radcliffe Camera.

You could climb to the top of the church tower next to the Rad Cam and have a view of Oxford. Or wander round the Bodlean Library.

If it doesn't rain you could get someone to punt you on the river. I think university rowers do it at the weekend.

We eat in Wagamama most of the time but there are cafes in the Covered Market which my DC like. I like the cafe under the church opposite the Rad Cam (same one as the tower).

Shrunken heads in the Pitt Rivers Museum. (seen them in Lewis!)

Thank you. Pitt Rivers and New College sounds good. Just googled Christ Church prices - £31 for both of us. New College more reasonable, will spend extra cash on ice cream.

Unfortunately they've taken the shrunken heads off display.
