Boring Vinted/Evri question

Are there any Vinted or Evri (Hermes) experts around?

Vinted sends the seller a prepaid Evri postage label, but the seller needs to be able to print this. I am new to selling on Vinted, and I don't have a printer. Some Evri shops claim to have in-store printing, but when I tried our local shop they said Evri claims this of some shops but the facility doesn't actually exist. Is that right? Or should I try a different Evri shop?

Thank you!

No, unfortunately you can't print the evri labels from vinted in the shop. You need a qr code which evri doesn't provide. I print mine in the library if that helps. You could also remove evri as a postage option. Yodel prints the label in the store for you and the post office Is also an option. You pay postage but the cost is added on to the seller. Just make sure you know the dimensions as you won't be refunded if postage costs more than you put. Selling in vinted is very addictive so enjoy 😊

Nah it's bloody annoying. If you send something using the Evri app then it gives you a QR code which you can scan at the shop and it prints a label. BUT whatever agreement Vinted have with Evri doesn't seem to have this option which is beyond stupid. I have to print at work or at my parents house. Most buyers will understand the pain. Yodel is better, Vinted give you a barcode which you scan at the shop and they print the label for you. You can change in the settings which postage options you wish to offer.

Another one to watch out for - selling something as a small parcel, if the buyer chooses Royal Mail then you get paid for the postage directly but only get £2.15 which is enough to send a large letter so your parcel can only be 2.5cm thick which I've discovered is easier said than done!

Thanks all! How annoying! I'll deselect it then for future sales, and good shout re checking the library!

Do others tend to set the price low low low? For example, I have a 80% wool 20% cotton Hobbs jumper in good condition - is £25 asking too much?

No, the vinted/evri agreement doesn't provide for the QR codes. Could you print at the library? You can turn off evri as a postage option in settings. Yodel prints the label and is far better for speed of delivery and lack of damage. I've had evri parcels lost and damaged, nothing with Yodel.

I tried to turn off Evri just now and Vinted issued a warning saying are you sure, you might put buyers off. Is that true? Are other carriers maybe more expensive than Evri?

I've turned off Royal mail and Yodel for mine as I don't have a local post office and the Yodel shop is useless. it may put off some people, but if you can't print you have no option.

You get price examples when you put clothes on, so see what others are charging.

Evri is the cheapest postal option so I'd rather have the hassle of printing than remove it - but that's because I can print for free when I get access to a printer.
Also, £25 is not too expensive as people are very good at asking for discounts! That way, you can put it for £25 but be willing to sell for £20 - or whatever you would be happy with. The buyer thinks they've got a bargain and you're still happy. I also set a discount for anyone buying a bundle. 😊
