Help - sun cream vs sand

Hi hive mind, very first world problem I know...

We're incredibly fortunate to currently be on holiday and I forgot how much I dislike sand, because it sticks to suncream.

Any tips for de-sanding/different types of suncream to try to stop the sticky mess/toddler tantrums on top of the do I really have to wear suncream mum strop before I splash out to buy ludicrously expensive types? Ambre solaire is good that it seems to be staying put even after swimming (ie is a pain to wash off) but is there a magic solution for suncream without the sandiness?

We're all using factor 50 which is non-negotiable. Do the oils work?

I think the spray on one's work better and put them on before you get to the beach.

I like the Asda one, which they do in 15, 30 and 50. We've been using that this year.

Thanks, I'm using the spray one already, seems easier to apply but is incredibly sticky.

Is there anything around that is effective at spf50 which doesn't leave you covered in sand when the person next to you shakes their towel off

Talcum powder once you're ready to go home - don't know why to works to get rid of the sand stuck to suncream, but it does!

Malibu dry oil spray is best for this. Put it on half hour before you get there so it has time to soak in. It only goes up to spf 30 but I've never burned with it even on days out and neither have kids.
