Haha maybe this is why 'Peter pan' doesn't seem like an insulting term when talking about men to me xD

I loved rufio soooo much haha.
And then I was spellbound by Jeremy sumpter as Pan.

Oh and honorable mention for Sam Huntington as mimi siku in jungle to jungle (if you know you know). Actually, adult Sam Huntington is still absolutely gorgeous.

Anyone else remember who their childhood onscreen crushes were?

Not me - but my mate found a piece of paper which her little sister had written the immortal words...
" I love Dick Van Dyke"
🤣

SpotlessMind88 · 18/08/2022 23:20

I loved Tom Cruise for years. then it was Ryan Phillipe from Cruel Intentions.

dollparts85 · 18/08/2022 23:29

Darlene from Roseanne.
I remember begging my sister when in I.T classes and learning about the Internet to print me loads of pictures of her.

Do I still admit that I still fancy my first human crush?

Peter Egan in Ever Decreasing Circles. I was around 10 or 11 and he was in his forties Shock However, recently he has been in Unforgotten and more recently After Life, yep still fancy him.

Cartoon wise Robin Hood the fox in the Disney version, also He-Man because he had the power.

Ooh yes, I liked Peter Egan as well.

Also Karl Howman when he played Jacko in Brush Strokes.

Oh god, I've just remembered the most embarrassing one ever. Blush Eamonn Holmes, when he started out on TV. Just googled and it was a show called Open Air. I vaguely remember being off sick from school and watching it. I'm blaming my fevered brain for that one.

APJ1 · 18/08/2022 23:47

@grey12 Leonardo from the TMNT cartoons 🤷🏻‍♀️

Michaelangelo was mine!

Gosh I feel I was an early stater in the crush stakes compared to some of all yours 😂

Mark from battle of the planets cartoon probably age 5/6?

2nd in command Jason was the one for me. More of an edge!

SteveHarringtonsChestHair · 19/08/2022 01:08

Bruce Willis in Moonlighting, back when he had hair.

Also had a crush on John Walton - the dad, not John Boy. Looking at this pic he looks spookily like my dad/grandad which explains a lot!

It was the actor who played Jesse in Free Willy and I also really liked the original actor who played Pete in Round the Twist.

Chris Masterson as Bowen in Cut Throat Island was my initial "oh hello" then I was thrilled when he showed up in Malcolm in the Middle.

Then a few years later, James Marsters as Spike in Buffy. Specifically earlier seasons however. Couldn't be doing with the moping around from season 4 onwards.

Paul McCartney c1965
Mr Spock
Oliver Tobias in Arthur of the Britons
Illya Kuriyakin
Paul Newman
Sidney Poitier
Mel Gibson
Sean Bean (Sharpe)
Harrison Ford
Spike
Irish Elba

I'm sure there's many more, I'm 64

BMW6 · 19/08/2022 10:52

Idris, not Irish ! 😆

lifesabitchandthenyoudie · 19/08/2022 12:30

Came on to say Richard Thomas - John Boy, although I didn't see him in the Waltons, think it might have been what was probably a dreadful show called Battle Beyond The Stars; but so many others now that you mention them! Def had a thing for the fox in Robin Hood; and Sidney Poitier, Paul Newman... seems I didn't have a type, apart from maybe dimples...

You obvs had mature tastes! 😁. 47

Almost! 47

Are you me?

I thought Christian Slater was the coolest thing on the planet for the longest time. Blush

Me too, I had posters of him (prob from J17 or Mizz) on my bedroom walls. He seemed to disappear. Sad to think only 2 of the 5 are still alive.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 18/08/2022 20:53

@upinaballoon - 100% agree with Jess Harper (bit surprised to see him mentioned, I bet not many people remember him!). I also loved Little Joe from Bonanza and Dex Dexter from Dynasty

One (I!) has to be quite old to remember Jess Harper. Robert Fuller. The 1962 Cowboy Calendar has a picture of him wearing black gloves and holding a gun. Oooh, I wonder if he's on Youtube.

Naimee87 · 19/08/2022 19:37

Eliot from E.T. and the boy from Freeee Willy!!

Taytocrisps · 19/08/2022 20:24

Can't believe nobody's mentioned Christopher Reeve yet.

I'm of the era where the Superman was the guy who saved Terri Hatcher who was later in Desperate Housewives. He was for tbf

MinglingFlamingo · 19/08/2022 23:09

*fit

HRTQueen · 19/08/2022 23:22

Bruce Lee I adored him

then:
Michael Jackson (Thriller so before he looked ridiculous)
Adam Ant
Richard O’Sullivan as Dick Turpin
Martin Shaw in The Professionals

also but a bit later Dave Allen. I was about 14 he had grey hair and looked 65ish

I forgot about Dean Cain. I liked him too. He's probably the only "nice" guy I liked.
Reece was my favourite from Malcolm In The Middle although I sort of fancied Francis too.

I forgot about my most shameful crush... Shia Labouef in Even Stevens. What an arsehole.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 20/08/2022 12:23

Back in the Dark Ages, Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates in Rawhide, when I was maybe 12.

Pinkbonbon · 20/08/2022 17:31

Yeah I liked Shia in Even Stevens too.
