how long would you be able to make meals for with out buying more food?

I think I could last for 10 days - I haven't been shopping for 8 days as ive been away visiting relatives of the last week.

Right now about 2 days and a 3rd living solely on dried cereal. However we are on holiday, and looking at what is available to cook with, I don't think you are supposed to do any cooking when here. Certainly nothing that involves more than one saucepan, a baking tray or a measuring jug.

about 10 days. Tins & dried/frozen stuff.

Although if society fell apart, I have an air rifle and pellets, and the garden is full of veggies and wood pigeon, so probably a bit longer.

But I'd have to be desperate.

I could last about three months. The fussy person in the house wouldn't last anywhere near that long though.

Classicblunder · 15/08/2022 15:05

Probably about a week of fairly normal meals and then another couple of weeks of weird combinations!

mrsbyers · 15/08/2022 15:08

A month at least

teenagetantrums · 15/08/2022 15:13

Probably about 3 weeks. Would be lacking in veg though and we would have to drink black coffee.

PuttingOnMyBestBra · 15/08/2022 15:15

About a week or so but they would be bloody weird meals
I think we’d revert to what our mums made in the 70s, very plain but perfectly good food

hotfroth · 15/08/2022 15:22

In a small house with 4 adults, a tiny kitchen, hardly any storage space and a fridge-freezer, probably about 3 or 4 days.

I’m doing my shopping weekly so at least 7 days as a matter of fact.

Then plenty of stuff in the freezer, flour to make bread etc…. So I’d say we could eat a month wo too much issue. I’d miss the fresh vegs though.

A couple of weeks. Probably more protein (from freezer) and rice and pasta. Not too much fruit or veg. Really should aim to use up the stuff in the freezer. I try not to have too much in it but it is really overstocked at the moment.
