Legoland recommendations

We’re taking our kids age 4 and 6 to legoland next week. Can anyone tell me which rides are best for that age? They’re both thrill seekers.

Also, is the food dreadful and expensive? Should we take our own?

Thanks

Food is generic pizza, chips etc. Its ok but it isn’t cheap.

The Dragon rides are great.

And the boat driving is excellent

Take picnic food/snacks.
When we went we queued for one ride for over 90 minutes - we ate lunch walking through the queue!

Definitely take food with you, the food at Legoland is £££ and awful. Our kids are similar ages, they loved the dragon coasters, the log flume (you get absolutely soaked), the new sky lion ride (which was epic) and the submarine aquarium ride.

If it's going to be a one off I would recommend getting qbots. Means you might get to go on a decent amount of rides.

The food is mostly ridiculously expensive. The best value was the fast food burgers. The sit down places were all way over priced.

I think the refill cups of pop are a good idea if that's what you drink, even cheaper if you buy ahead.

My plan is always the same, go to the favourite 2 rides first and beat the queues. Mine loved the driving lesson cars and the Ninjago 4d ride.

Download the app and check queue times as well as really useful for directions to the next ride or the toilets.

The food is absolute junk and very expensive, take something with you it will be much nicer.

TheChosenTwo · 14/08/2022 19:36

To echo a pp, if you’re only going to go once then get the qbots otherwise you’ll hardly get on anything.
I didn’t think the food was expensive, just what I’d expect to spend at a theme park really. It’s not fancy, very much burgers/pizza etc but it’s fine.
im not one for lugging a picnic about though so would never bother with that if there’s an option to buy food somewhere.
we used to take our 3dc maybe once every couple of years, it’s quite nearby but always found it way too overcrowded to be very enjoyable.

Went last year on a very hot day - it was packed and there’s not much shade.

Best ride by far (to me and Gdd1, 6) was a boat ride through a ‘fairytale’ landscape, forget what it’s called - lovely and quiet, cool and shaded. We did it 5 times in a row!

Gds (just 5, it was his birthday) had been dying to go on some Ninja ride, but he was scared stiff and hated it! TBH it was pretty scary - a 7 year old boy with us wasn’t keen either.
