Travel post-concert at Wembley Stadium?

I’m taking DD (11) to the Foo Fighters gig in a few weeks. I’m a seasoned London traveller having lived there several years ago, but never been to Wembley and obviously protective of DD.

We live in Wales so I’m looking to book a cheap hotel somewhere along the M4 as we need to get back home sharpish on the Sunday. DH will take the car there and then I’ll need to get DD and myself there on public transport after the gig. Is Heathrow the best option? How well Organised are the tube stations post-gig? Does Wembley have a 10:30pm curfew at weeekends?

any hints and tricks appreciated!

There's a hotel right next to South Ruislip station (sorry I can't remember the name) and you can get the National Rail service direct to Wembley from there. National rail usually less stressful than the Tube after an event at Wembley. From there you can take the M40 in the morning and drop down to the M4 via the M25 or the A404.

The Ethorpe Hotel in Gerrards Cross is a 5 minute walk to the station with plenty of parking. No idea of the cost of a room though.

There's a Premier Inn & a Travelodge in High Wycombe within walking distance of the station. That's a few stops on the Chiltern line from Wembley and about 5 mins from the M40. The following morning, it's about 15 mins to Junc 8/9 of the M4

Thanks. Booking PI now. There’s a cinema not far away as well so if DH wants to do something he will have options.

Thanks for all the help, everyone.

High Wycombe is a good option balancing convenience and cost

There look to be plenty of fast trains and less than £12 for me and DD to get back.
