Leaving Air B&B review

Am staying in an expensive Air B&B. It's at least twice what it would have cost before lockdown I'd say. Ok so most places are.
Nice house though & the Owner is good at communicating.

But, it's right next to a really noisy rd. No one has mentioned this in reviews. And obviously there's no mention in the description.

I'm literally awake now 1:43am because of the noise. We have the windows open as its boiling hot.

It's in the countryside. Near the coast. I had no reason to expect this place would be so noisy. It's way noisier than my house in London!

My question is, should I mention this in my review? I mean it's not like the owner can do anything about it. But It's really expensive, as mentioned and it's definitely taken away from our enjoyment of the property. What would you do?

Unfortunately if you give a bad review, the owner sees it before it’s posted and then contacts you to ask you to remove any negative parts. We regularly use cottages and read reviews first. I would certainly like to know if it was on a busy road. We take our dog and although they say secure garden, it’s nice to read from fellow dog owners that it is safe.

Hmm maybe that's why no one has mentioned it then?

Kind of defeats the point of reviews no?

I always see my job as reviewer as to highlight things, positive and negative, which might not have been included in the listing.

So I would write something factual along the lines of "if you're looking for total isolation, this might not be the place for you as the busy A1234 runs just 50m from the house and there is some traffic noise both day and night, but fortunately you can't see the road from the garden and the view across the moor is lovely".
