Maintenance - how much could be going on pension in NHS?

Ex pays me 600 a month but he’s on 112k. I know for maintenance 600 is high but this doesn’t add up to me! Could he be altering pension amount or something? I thought there was a cap within the nhs scheme.. thanks

Just Google nhs pension contributions, it will tell you what percentage he pays a month.

Sorry can't link, don't know how to do it on my phone.

Link below suggests his standard contribution rate might be 14.5% if those rates are still valid - so around £16k being paid in. However he could be buying additional pension as well, not sure if there’s a cap in the NHS scheme but he would need to be careful of the £40k annual allowance.

How often does he have your DC? He potentially could also have a private pension he is paying into also, that would impact upon his payments too.

it does sound about right though looking at the CMS site, a wage of 112k a year- say a 15% pension and your dc is there 2/3 nights a week he should be paying:

Your child maintenance

calculation is

£134.72 a week or £583.38 a month

it goes up if you dc spends less nights there

Is that for 1 child? How often does he have them?

He may have other salary sacrifice agreements in places - cycle to work, electric vehicle?

The standard calculation for 1 child with contact 1-2 nights a week (EOW) assuming £95k after pension contributions is £697.

He never sees dc and lives alone. Just seems a low amount and when I’m struggling with childcare costs seems a bit rubbish! Thanks for advice
