I am in my 40's and over many years of using a number of toasters it seems that most require you to either have one side or the top untoasted or the middle over toasted as you have to turn it over.
I'm sure if I went and spent £100+ on a toaster then I could probably find one that avoids this but why aren't all toasters designed to accommodate a a lot of average slices of bread?
Do the designers think we all eat those mini loaves or perhaps only sourdough which is usually about 1/2 the size of the sliced bread I buy more often?
Also having just done a quick spot check on John Lewis - whilst it gives the size of the toaster it doesn't give the size of the largest piece of toast it can toast 100% of the surface area of.
Light hearted post, as I was just looking for another toaster (ours died while we were away and in-laws bought a new one for us - very kind) but again it only toasts about 80% of the bread.
Any good toast stories on here. I think I might have a theme, years ago I had a post about butter dishes. 🤣 I'm so rock and roll these days 🤣
