As above! We have done some research but is there anything we have forgotten?

We need to keep it to one room to begin with which will be our living room ,I assume we put the litter tray and food in there as well?

It stays there for a week? Whilst it gets to know us?
Do we let it come to us for a stroke or do we go to it?
If it's already been outside can it become an indoor cat!

Where is she coming from that you're worried she might have fleas?! If she's from a reputable breeder of course she won't, they'll be taking care of their animals and any litters will be flead and wormed before leaving. Is she with her mother until now? What kind of environment is she living in, have you visited and met her parents?

I do understand the panic but if you've met the owners of the mother and been to visit, and seen the kittens in their home with their mum, and you're happy there - you're fine. And an owner who is letting kittens go at 13 weeks is an excellent one, most are keen to sell at 8 weeks which is very young.

Don't bother with litter freshener/scented litter, a cat's sense of smell is far stronger than ours, imagine going to the toilet with that horrible artificial smell. No sprays needed. If she's litter trained, which she should be at that age, she will take to it straight away. If you're really worried you can make sure you use the same litter as her breeder has been using with the litter, that will help with the transition.

Wood pellet litter is environmentally friendly, non-clumping, and conceals urine odours. I get CJs litter from Amazon or Jollyes websites.

@unvillage

Thanks! Quite a free and easy farm environment she's come from but extremely well loved and cared for.
Booked into vet tomorrow
Using wood pellet stuff.
She's hobbled food down but hasn't been to the loo yet!
