Can’t lose weight - motivation is awful please help

So I’m 5ft 11 and 17 stone, had my third child ten months ago.

I’ve tried weight watchers and slimming world but lose motivation as soon as I’ve been going 2/3 times. Tried buying £60 worth of passes for slimming world, didn’t help even though the money was painful. Tried doing the healthy wage thing where you pay £40 a month and get it back + extra if you lose weight.

I booked a personal trainer for last Friday but he cancelled the day previous and now that momentum has gone.

Can’t afford weight loss surgery.

Tried Noom - too easy to ignore phone notifications.

Doctor has warned me I’ve got high levels of triglycerides in my blood.

I stopped being able to breast feed three months post partum.

Please help - what will give me a kick up the arse and help me lose weight? None of my clothes fit, I’m miserable and angry with myself, but the will power never sticks.

I'd look at own carb/high fat or keto if I were you. It's intended to be a long term way of eating rather than a short term diet.

A lot of people regard it as a fad diet. But it can't be any faddier than the low fat/high carb many people follow and then wonder why they've put on/can't lose weight whilst massively restricting calories.

No calorie restriction either.

If you're interested, PM me and I'll send you details of a really good fb group.

I'm the same (although at 63 it's not due to having had babies). I'm at my fattest ever and I hate myself. I'm now wearing size 24, which is the biggest I've ever been. I'm uncomfortable, look horrible and I don't want to go out. I'm going to try the Fast 800 diet again - I lost 2st easily a couple of years ago.

I have zero motivation for anything the seems like overhauling my life no matter how positive. I have to create habits/regimes with exercise/food in small steps. There's no point in me make a big decision to make a whole life change in diet and exercise as I just give up.

So I do small changes and don't make other changes until the first becomes habit. I started with healthy breakfast and walking everywhere within a 20 min radius and that took about 4 weeks to become a norm. Then one yoga class a week which took about 6 weeks to become a norm where I just get my stuff and go without thinking about it. This week I've booked in for a 30 minute strength class at gym. After that I'm sorting my lunches out.

The more slow small changes I make the easier I find it to avoid my bad habits as well. When I want crisps I think that's today's walk wasted rather then I'm not allowed them. Banning any food group just makes me want it more so smaller portions and more exercise works better for me as long as I 'trick' myself into doing them bit by bit.
