Coldplay at Wembley - timings

going to Wembley to see Coldplay next week, never been to a gig at a stadium before. It says doors open at 5pm - what time (ish) are they likely to get on stage? Need to think about transport timings!

I'm going this week too 😊😊😊 I've seen them once before and it completely fantastic. So much fun. Useful re timings, am thinking of getting there for 6ish

I went on Friday! You're in for a treat. The gates did open at 5pm, but most people didn't get to their seats until about 7pm . The support acts took 1.5 hours and Coldplay arrived on stage at 8.30pm!! In hindsight I should have spent more time shopping before finding my seat... 😂. Enjoy!!

Never seen them live before and it was AMAZING! Both times!
Would go again in a heartbeat.

I'm meeting a friend there and i have both tickets - any suggestions as to where to say to meet?!

Also any rules re bags/drinks? (Apart from no alcohol).

I was there on Saturday @secretfreckle and that special guest was a complete surprise and was fantastic. I agree with pp who said that CM looked like he was having the time of his life and it was infectious. The whole atmosphere was incredible.
Took us a longtime to get away through Wembley Park although the queue was well managed with the stewards playing dance music through a tannoy.
Worth every penny and would go again in a heartbeat.

Bags have to be less than A4 size and you can take empty bottles in to refill at water stations (biggest queues for these as it was about 205 degrees inside the stadium). I felt security was somewhat peremptory (compared to commonwealth games we were at the previous week). Take much money - drinks and food spectacularly expensive

Meet at the entrance it says on the ticket? Or Bobby Moore statue is quite prominent. Loads of staff to direct you

Went tonight or shall I say last night, absolutely amazing, I am still on a high. Blown away

Went last night, best gig I have ever been to. But it took us over an hour to get out of the venue on foot and into the tube station. It was very orderly but a little bit stressful! So just be prepared if you need to catch a particular train etc. All worth it though!

@supermodel we left before the end (we got the set list online so knew when to make a break for it!) for exactly that reason, we were in the top floor of the multi storey carpark and didn’t want to get stuck behind thousands of cars trying to exit!! We did miss the special guest bit though but having seen this on socials we don’t feel it spoiled our enjoyment at all.

I cannot imagine paying all that money to go and then to leave early and miss the end! 😲

We needed to be home before the wee hours of the morning, it had already been a long working day! - pure practicality.
