We're going with 1 year old and 5 year old in 2 days. I'm scared out of my mind. Airport is quite far from the hotel so we've decided to get a taxi instead of using public transport. Any tips on food or anything really? Did anyone take snacks or anything? We're definitely taking a pram...

Don’t go! Worst holiday of our lives and granddaughter whose treat it was also hated it 🥲

How come?

MarthaMayWhovier · 06/08/2022 22:22

The slinky dog ride and the Cars tram ride in the Studios park are suitable for young children. There's also usually family entertainment live shows. Check times for that. Apart from this, agree with PP to stick to the main park.

Prices so ridiculous for food in Disneyland so we took lots of snacks from beee that would travel be prepared to que.

Going through the airport etc was ok they are quiet short with you- I had to close my buggy to go through the machines which I didn't have to Uk end...

Ratatouille, Aladins flying carpet & the disney junior show were all good for us and our 4 year old in the studios too. Its where she also met Olaf, and if you have a frozen fan I would say the studios is a must.

Have a look at both parks and decide what you really want to do.

There is always one. Probably lack of planning.

You didn't say the sex of your children but you can book a princess makeover in the big hotel that's just at the park gates, they do let you take your own dress and do hair/makeup and a mini photo shoot, your oldest might enjoy it if into dressing up. Avoid Planet Hollywood in the village, the food at Annette's Diner is much nicer and the waiters are all on roller skates which my DD loved. The interactive Stitch show is good, they alternate showings in French and English so check times when you get there.

I saw the Stitch show 3 times because I wanted him to pick on me. 😂 All 3 times they seemed to pick on the most bored looking dad in the audience though.

We hired a buggy for both days (available to hire at both parks). It was really needed for our 5 year old. 1 year old had her pushchair. We spent day one at Disneyland park from 9.30 till about 1oclock watching the fireworks and day 2 at Walt Disney studios.
@DrAddisonForbesMontgomery I know what you mean. We went to everywhere we wanted to go but want to go again for the other areas in the main park. We were at beauvais airport which is quite small. Had to Uber it to bussey st George which was around £125 pounds. As for meal plan, we had McDonald's both days and snacks from here and there. Ate at discovery land theatre on day one evening as we were there longer but the food was awful.

We had to rest at McDonald's with the kids for around 1.5 hours and the same at discovery land theatre in the evening. It would have been too much hassle to go back on the train to our hotel. But it was fine. My legs were killing and my period started. Luckily there's a first aid shop at Disneyland and they gave me pain relief as I had a migraine too!
