What’s Happening In Your House?

Haven’t done one of these threads for ages. Hope you’re all having a good evening. I went back to work today after nearly 2 weeks off but actually I’m not feeling as tired as I thought I would. Easy tea tonight as DH won’t be home until about 8.30(ready meal for me, probably bacon & egg sandwich for him). Need to put the rabbits to bed soon. Not sure what to watch on tv later - might catch up with Saturday Kitchen. DD13 in her room, periodically emerging to say how bored she is. The holidays are going to feel very long! We have just had a lovely long weekend with my brother & family though. None of us wanted to come home.

I'm just heading to bed. I've had the most awful cold andcstill struggling overnight so although I'm shattered I'm nit looking forward to it

No idea how I dobt wake the DC up with the cough

I think ds has fallen asleep after his working week has finished. Or he's chilling in his room.

Dd is bathing the guinea pigs before cleaning their cage.

Dh is in the garden watering plants with a watering can and sporting a head torch.

I'm scrolling Mumsnet while Today at the Commonwealth Games or whatever it's called is on, sipping a glass of red wine. Stealing myself to get the next load ready to go in the dishwasher etc etc.

This thread is making me wish I had gone to get a bottle of wine earlier. DC has now gone to bed and I'm catching up with the diving from earlier and a glass of wine would be lovely right now.

DD has just got home the pub and the cat has gone out for a prowl.

I'll have to wait up for the cat to come in now otherwise there will be pathetic loud yowling on the doorstep in an hour...

I’m scrolling in bed after bottle of Prosecco kids all in bed after a day of park and trampoline park husbands working away back tomorrow dogs fed and fish and gerbils looking forward to catching up with an old friend tomorrow : )

Midnight. DS and a friend have just come back from a gig, said it was great. DCat has just been shut in the kitchen for the night. DH is reading in bed. I've just had a shower and am now on MN.

Hope the Fish and Gerbils have fun with their friend tomorrow 😂

DH 65 is in bed, when he wakes up in the morrow he will be 66.

That's DH home finally. He had to go get fuel at the 24 hour garage and he bought me a can of Coke since it was too late to buy me wine, so I've got a cold drink before I go to bed at least. Not quite the same but it's something.
