Can anyone tell me of this is something to be concerned about.
Dd had a little black/grey bruise on her leg for a day or so.
She's come back from nursery this eve and it's turned dark red and increased in size slightly.
Could have banged the same spot again but seems unusual.
I've never experienced a bruise revert back to red after initially turning traditional black bruise colour.

I had one of these on my leg last week!! I’d never had one that colour before and mine went like it after being a normal bruise too! It cleared up as a normal bruise would too so I’m intrigued if anyone has an answer

It goes black, purple, red, green, yellow in my bruise experience

Mine usually go, if it’s bad: purple, black, brown, yellow
if not bad: maybe a bit green, brown then yellow!

I would very much assume she’s banged the same area; did they say what caused the first one? It could be a bench or something at that level that perhaps they need to keep an eye on

Bruises often start off red, then go black as the microbleeding under the skin continues, then they go purply-red, red, green and then yellow as they finally go.

As far as I'm aware nursery are not aware of the bruise at all as they haven't mentioned it.
DD does get a fair amount of bruising on shins and legs as she's quite 'busy' and a bit clumsy.

Ah Ok , perhaps it is normal then and just not a sequence of colour change I've noticed before.
