I seemed to have developed hypochondria

DH died last year and I have become so anxious about my own health since.

A think an old fashioned family doctor would put 2 and 2 together and realise what was going on, but as it is, at each GP visit I'm just asked about the latest symptoms and no reference is made to any previous visit.

For 50 years I barely saw a doctor at all, I've probably seen a doctor more times in the last 12 months than in the previous 30 years.

It doesn't take a genius to work out what's going on. Im very aware that things could have been different if DH has sought help at the first sign of symptoms and I also very aware that I'm now all DC have left.

So, I worry, but that doesn't mean I won't also get ill!

I’m so sorry for your loss. Honestly it sounds like health anxiety which is actually quite common after the loss of a loved one.
you could tell the GP exactly what you told us, they will know what to do (perhaps therapy or something similar). Take care
